Easist PS5 Games for Trophies & Platinums (2025)

Some enjoyable games and trophy lists.

One of the joys of trophy hunting is that there are tons of games out there that are not only good for trophies but also worth your time. However, buying games without a clear idea of which ones might have a good trophy list versus ones that expect a major time sink can be a bit of a gamble. To help with that, we have compiled this list of PS5 titles that we think are great games and have easy trophies, so you’ll enjoy that journey to platinum.

Dead Island 2

  • Release Date: April 21, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 20-40 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Dead Island 2 was a game lost in development hell for over a decade, so it was a surprise when it came out and was so good. You play as one of six characters who survive a plane crash while trying to leave L.A. (Hell-A) and escape the outbreak. In the scuffle, they learn they are bitten and are immune, which leads down a path they never expected.

It doesn’t matter whether you played the first two games, as you can still easily enjoy Dead Island 2 on its own. This game not only gives you a lot of Hell-A to explore with a friend, but the trophies are also fun to unlock. Most come naturally as you adventure through zombie-infested streets and take out lots of the angry biters. Speaking of friends, you will need another player for two trophies, but they aren’t difficult, as you only need to complete five quests together and revive them five times.

The hardest trophy is On Safari, which requires players to complete the first tier of every zombie challenge, which covers killing a certain number of all variants. Seeing as some variants don’t arrive until late in the game, this will likely take you a full playthrough to actually complete. You might not have the platinum by the time the credits roll, but it won’t be far off if you have been doing every side quest offered.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

  • Release Date: Jan. 26, 2024
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 80-100 Hours

As if his life hadn’t already been shaken up after the previous game’s ending, Ichiban Kasuga learns that his mother is alive and well in America. Without hesitation, Ichiban boards a flight to Hawaii, eager to finally learn more about his birth. The only problem is that nothing ever goes well for Ichiban, and she has recently gone missing, so now he must rely on new and old friends to find out what’s going on.

This game serves as the next in the mainline series and as a conclusion to Kiryu’s story in The Man Who Erased His Name. After his bare appearance in the previous Like a Dragon, he joins Ichiban as a party member with his own unique abilities. Enjoying America for the first time is a huge change, but exploring the map is fun.

While you must do a little of everything to eventually get platinum, it isn’t exhaustive. Clearing the Sujimon side content will be much easier after you finish the story, so you can always save it for later. Similarly, Dondoko Island is a time sink, but I did it all in one go rather than bits and pieces at a time. Your final trophy will likely be for getting Ichiban to level 70. It can be done quickly if you’re willing to buy the DLC that adds NG+. Otherwise, you’re looking at a decent grind in the last dungeon.

Resistance: Retribution

Image Source: Bend Studio via Twinfinite
  • Developer: Bend Studio
  • Release Date: Feb. 20, 2024 (March 17, 2009 for PSP)
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 10-15 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

The war with the Chimera rages, and James Grayson, who lost his brother to one of their conversion centers, has been AWOL for revenge. During his rampage against these centers and the Chimera, he is eventually captured by the British and sentenced to be executed for desertion. Rather than accept his fate, he is offered the chance to help the resistance and use what he knows about the conversion centers to help them fight back.

As far as these PSP releases go, this is definitely one of the best. The controls translate incredibly well onto a controller, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting through the game. It’s not all that difficult, either, but enemy fire can easily whittle your health. Thankfully, if you do get in over your head, the handy rewind function for these games is right there to help.

Fortunately, the bulk of the trophy list is for completing each mission in the game. You’ll need to focus on using the Auger WS for its specific trophy and then only 10 of the available weapons in general. There is also a trophy for dying, but you can get that early and rewind the game whenever you get it, so having to reload from a checkpoint won’t slow you down. Each mission (23 total) will take you under an hour to complete.

Undead Horde 2: Necropolis

Undead Horde 2: Necropolis

  • Developer: 10tons
  • Release Date: May 31, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 10-20 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

The horde part of the title might give away what to expect from this. You play as an Undead King who can raise the dead to be part of his army. You choose what forces you’d like access to, and then if they die when taking on enemies, you can use slain enemies to resurrect more forces. You need to be careful when facing larger groups, as the Undead King doesn’t have the fortitude to withstand combat alone.

The point of the game is to clear the humans out of the large number of maps, which can take a bit of time. The Undead King does level up and has an array of equipment to increase things like horde capacity and damage, and you will find better summons as you go. Each map offers a different sort of challenge but nothing too lengthy.

Thankfully, the sequel dropped the trophy from the first game to find all the secrets which added on a decent chunk of playtime. The game has rather simple progression, so you’ll get most trophies naturally as you go, which is nice. As far as final trophies go, you’re likely going to end on Conquer Citadel for finishing out the final area of the game.

Rise of the Ronin

Rise of the Ronin

  • Developer: Team Ninja
  • Release Date: March 22, 2024
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 50-70 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

In Rise of the Ronin, you play as one of a pair of Blade Twins from a clan called the Veiled Edge. This group is comprised of warriors who operate in the shadows to undertake missions crucial to Japan. The first mission you undertake with your Blade Twin sees you separated, and you must journey into the light to find them. While this is happening, the British are starting to enter Japan, which is experiencing a turning point in history.

I know it seems a little weird for a Soulslike to have a place on this list, but the game features difficulty options that offer a different experience from the Nioh games. As long as you can get through the campaign in a way that is most comfortable/achievable for you, the overall difficulty doesn’t do too much to affect how tough it is to get platinum.

There isn’t anything missable on the trophy list. While certain choices do affect the path of the story, there is a simple mechanic that lets you adjust choices made so you can experience the map/characters from both sides. The map is packed with icons, but you don’t need to complete everything outside of finding all the cats and taking all the photos. The hardest trophy in the game is completing a mission on Midnight difficulty. However, you can choose to do the tutorial, which will greatly reduce the challenge.

Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors

  • Developer: Poncle
  • Release Date: Aug. 29, 2024
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 20-30 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Have you ever played a bullet hell game and been frustrated at all the stuff you have to dodge? Every thought that you’d love to be on the other side of things, being the one treating enemies to the all-you-can-eat buffet of attacks? Vampire Survivors fulfills that wish by making you an army of one with a crazy array of evolving weaponry. From the expected whips to garlic that give you a damaging radius to lighting strikes, you can become unstoppable.

There’s not much of a story to Vampire Survivors other than exactly what it says on the tin: there are vampires, and you must survive their onslaught. The game features plenty of maps and items, with more added all the time in free updates and DLC. If you’re playing the game correctly, you can guarantee that things will eventually turn into an insane light show.

As for trophies, everything is laid out nicely in the game’s various menus, especially with the map screen giving you direct descriptions on unlocking the next. As for important key items, there are arrows in maps to follow so you know the paths to take. While you might need to eyeball a guide for certain weapon evolutions, most will come just from maxing out everything you find and seeing what combinations happen. With how fun the game is, you’re likely to get most of the trophy list without even meaning to.

Job Simulator

Job Simulator
  • Developer: Owlchemy Labs
  • Release Date: Feb. 22, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 3-4 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

This VR game’s title definitely sounds like it will be serious, but Job Simulator is anything but. Instead, you are part of a robot-based society with a museum dedicated to all the stupid jobs humans used to do. You have a choice between three different jobs: an office worker, a chef, and a mechanic. Each of these is an abstract and humorous imitation that absolutely doesn’t take itself seriously.

You’re limited on movement, but that doesn’t really matter, considering all the interactable stuff. The office job has you in a cubicle surrounded by the usual items that you can happily fling around and test out. There’s a copy machine that works literally and clones items you attempt to copy. Remember, this is how robots of the future THINK these things work, so everything is wonky in the most entertaining ways.

Job Simulator’s trophy list is relatively short (compared to the other entries on this list) and split between simply completing the jobs and doing one additional small task during each job. The small extra thing is like removing the glove from a car’s glove compartment during the mechanic job or making soup with the whole, unopened soup can as a chef. These might be things you have to look up, but they can be done quickly in any job for the trophies.

Killer Frequency

Killer Frequency
  • Developer: Team17
  • Release Date: June 1, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 8-10 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Killer Frequency is a terrific call-back to 80’s slasher films. The year is 1987, and you play as Forrest Nash, a radio DJ in Gallows Creek (state unknown). Forrest was a radio personality in Chicago, but an unknown issue sent him to Gallows Creek. On his first night, one of the town’s cops calls in a panic, saying the sheriff has been murdered and the perpetrator is a serial killer thought long dead.

With the police unavailable, calls are routed to Forrest and his audio engineer who must figure out the best way to help the callers on this terrible night. Serving as one part puzzle game and one part escape room, Killer Frequency is an insanely fun adventure that interest everyone.

Most of the list is individual trophies for every caller surviving, which isn’t honestly all that difficult. If you manage to do this in under four hours, you’ll get another trophy. Thankfully, the game is pretty forgiving on time, and a perfect run (if you don’t do anything else) is only like three hours, so you have wiggle room. You’ll also need a separate playthrough where everyone dies, but that will obviously be quite short. Otherwise, reading through the trophy list will get you an idea on the miscellaneous things.

Lego Horizon Adventures

  • Developer: Guerilla Games
  • Release Date: Nov. 14, 2024
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 15-20 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

After spending her life not knowing anything about her birth or origins, Aloy finally sets out to learn the truth and earn her place among the Nora tribe. However, a sun-worshipping cult seems to be on the rise and wreaking havoc. They are kidnapping members of the Nora tribe and also somehow corrupting the mostly peaceful machine animals that roam the remains of the past civilization that brought the world to ruin.

While this is a retelling of Horizon Zero Dawn, it takes many liberties and is far less serious about everything. Despite the Lego aspect of the game, it’s nothing like the collection-fest of the Traveller’s Tales Lego games. You don’t have to worry about spending millions of studs or finding minikits, as the game is quite story-focused.

As long as you wisely spend studs (yards and roofs first, as you need fewer), you should have almost all trophies by the end of the story. As for the last trophy you’re likely to get, the Super Team will be the biggest grind because you need to get every character to the max level of 20. There are only four characters, and completing story mode with only Aloy got her to level 18, so this will be a bit of a grind. Fortunately, anyone with an extra controller can utilize co-op and level up two characters at once.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection

  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 2-4 Hours

This collection features every TMNT game released between 1989 and 1994 on arcade cabinets, the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, or the NES. Most of these are beat ’em ups, but there is also a fighting game to give you a taste of everything. You even get the punishingly tough 1989 game for the NES, which is a side-scroller like Shinobi.

A further bonus is that some of the games feature online multiplayer for the first time ever, letting you relive childhood memories with a friend. You know, or watch helplessly as you find out someone close to you is much better at fighting games than you. All the games are lovingly recreated, and even the Game Boy games are worth playing, if not a little minimalist by today’s standards.

Every trophy on the list is unlocked by beating the story mode in every game. While this sounds daunting, there is a trick to it. All games feature a demo mode where you can watch the computer make a perfect playthrough. You can take control of these demos right before the end, save the game, and then quit and reload that save to beat it yourself and get the trophy. However, this doesn’t work for the SNES and Genesis fighting games, which must be played legitimately. Fortunately, they aren’t too difficult.

Save Room

  • Developer: Fractal Projects
  • Release Date: Nov. 11, 2022
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 1-2 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

This game is for all those who absolutely love the briefcase in Resident Evil 4 (old and new). It’s a puzzle game all about sorting things into a very similar case, but for legal reasons, the serial numbers have been filed off. There’s no real story to be found, but it’s still an honestly engaging puzzle game that ramps up in complexity.

Unlike in Resident Evil, everything in Save Room has to be stored or used. You aren’t allowed to just leave anything outside of the case to be discarded. You have to deal with situations like divvying up ammo for reloads or using the right health items to free up space when the (again, very Resident Evil) health readout is in the yellow or red.

There are 40 puzzles in Save Room to complete, though you only need to complete 39 to get all of the level trophies. The handful of miscellaneous trophies are pretty straightforward in telling you what to do. These are things like inspecting a weapon or using a red and yellow herb on yourself. Assuming you do everything without a guide, it will probably take one or two hours of diligent sorting. It’s not a long game, but it does have a very engrossing mechanic.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

  • Release Date: Oct. 30, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 20-30 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Bad things once again befall New York City as Kraven the Hunter arrives with his goons and start rounding up (and killing) the city’s colorful villains. Peter’s life isn’t going much better, though Harry Osbourne shows up miraculously cured of his previous illness thanks to a mysterious black exosuit that also grants him powers. Anyone with any knowledge of the Spider-Man mythos will know that never means anything good.

Once again, the trophy list for the sequel to everyone’s favorite Wallcrawler game offers an easy platinum. Pretty much every trophy can easily be earned simply by playing the game and following each district’s to-do list. This means that as long as you do the side content, you’ll eventually end up with the platinum. The final trophy everyone is most likely to get is Superior, which you get by reaching 100% in every district in the game.

In my experience, the most frustrating trophies in the game were tied to combat, as it takes a while for Miles to unlock his Venom abilities needed for a trophy, but doing the similar group as Peter is much easier. There are a few random extras, but everything should take somewhere in the ballpark of 20-30 hours. Unlike the Miles Morales game, you can get everything in one playthrough.

Teardown

Teardown
Image Source: Tuxedo Labs via Twinfinite
  • Developer: Tuxedo Labs
  • Release Date: Nov. 15, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 20-25 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Teardown is a pretty unique game. It’s a voxel-based (kind of like Minecraft) heist game where everything can be destroyed. The game starts easily enough with a little destruction, but soon you’re moving onto theft before people start to get wise and use alarms. This is where Teardown shines, as you’ll need to use the destructable environment to your advantage and plan things out. There isn’t anymethod to avoid tripping alarms, and you won’t have much time before the cops show.

If played normally, this trophy list would be insanely tough, but Teardown includes mods, and those mods don’t disable trophies. They aren’t even only for the purpose of circumventing the challenge, either. You also get goofy things like different guns and explosives to really ratchet up the explosions (and drop that framerate).

If you choose to enable mods like the Zenikta and Jetpack, you can substantially cut back on the time the platinum takes. If you go a step further, though, there is a Vacuum Cleaner mod. This mod doesn’t only suck up regular debris, but it pulls in important mission objectives like heavy safes or cars. Then, once you reach the escape vehicle, you can shoot them out from the Vacuum Cleaner’s storage. With only this one mod, you can finish everything in the game without issue.

Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2
Image Source: Remedy Entertainment via Twinfinite
  • Developer: Remedy Entertainment
  • Release Date: Oct. 27, 2023
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 20-25 Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

Alan Wake 2 brings players back to Bright Falls after 13 years, and the darkness hasn’t gotten any brighter. The game features two protagonists and opens with Saga Anderson, an FBI agent assigned to Bright Falls to investigate a series of ritual murders. Somehow, she keeps finding manuscript pages written by Alan Wake that feature her as if she were a character, and know everything that is happening.

While this game definitely lives up to the excellence of Remedy Entertainment, it also offers a decently easy trophy list. For the most part, simply collecting everything as Saga will net you just about all of the trophies. There is a generous level of free roam to let players return later to clean up areas.

The only sticking points to the list are potentially missable videos that Saga and Alan must walk near to trigger and collect, but as long as you are thoroughly exploring, this shouldn’t be all that difficult. The best part is that each type of collectible needed in Saga’s story is in the form of a fun little puzzle, so you aren’t just walking forever to pick up pointless trinkets.

RPG Maker WITH

RPG Maker WITH

  • Developer: Gotcha Gotcha Games
  • Release Date: Feb. 21, 2025
  • Estimate Time to Get Platinum: 100+ Hours
  • PlayStation Store Link

If you’ve ever played classic JRPGs like Final Fantasy or Dragon’s Quest, you might be wondering how those games work behind the scenes, and this is how to find out. The RPG Maker series has existed since 1998, if you can believe it. It contains all the tools to make your own RPG however you want. You control events, dialogue, and even make your own maps/towns. There are tons of pre-preared assets to use in crafting your own game.

RPG Maker WITH is the newest in a long line, but the difference is that WITH has been made for consoles for the first time. The menus are streamlined and work better with a controller than the previous release for the PS4, RPG Maker MV. The idea in this one is all about community, so other RPG Maker WITH players can create and upload assets for others to use that aren’t included with the base game.

The trophy list in RPG Maker WITH encourages doing everything possible, and many times over so you get the hang of it. This includes things like choosing background music, setting items, figuring out and placing enemies, etc. A lot of the trophies will come your way as you create your ultimate dream RPG. However, don’t expect this to be quick, as the game does have time-requirement trophies with the biggest being using map editor for 100 hours. But, I believe if you truly get into it, that will just fly by.
